Lifetime Height Adjustable In-Ground Basketball Hoop (54" Acrylic Backboard)

Worth the price. Install was more difficult than anticipated. Lifetime customer service was not particularly helpful

I just contacted the installer from Angi that was hired by you to install the hoop underground. Cement, etc. he is scheduled for Wednesday. He said that he hasn’t installed the hoop under ground and canceled. I paid for the install I need you to schedule someone who will install the hoop in the ground as said it would be.

Easy to put together. Came quickly.

Very happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids and nephew broke my neighbors basketball hoop a couple weeks backs.. After scouring the internet I came up empty handed. I reluctantly reached out to lifetime looking for the part, but am I glad I did. Not only was the instant messaging very painless, they sent me the part for free! Unbelievable! I will never hesitate to reach out if I need parts for the hoop in my driveway.

I purchased and installed my Lifetime basketball hoop (model #78888) in the Summer of 2008. It went together well and is sturdy. There are three issues I have experienced: 1) The acrylic backboard separated from the frame at the top corners (it is windy here). I notified customer service, sent pictures and a copy of the receipt. They shipped a new backboard, no charge. I finally installed it this last weekend (the old one still worked, just flapped a bit). The new one had the same issue, so I picked up some corner braces at the local hardware store (see pics). 2) One of the rim netlocks broke off. We had a school welding shop student fix it for us. 3) There is a plastic piece between the backboard and rim. My son has been known to hang on the hoop at times. This has ruined that plastic piece. The rim now slants slightly forward. Overall the basketball hoop has been a good value and has served my family of five well.
