Acacia Outdoor Bench

I really like this bench. It was not too hard to put together, a little vague on the directions. My brain got a little workout. It definitely took teamwork from my friend. I could not have done it on my own. I like the color and material, so far. I do not like the interior bottom of the storage area. It is kind of pathetic and I can imagine it not holding up over time.

This is advertised as an outdoor bench. We used it as an entryway bench. It is sturdy and was weight rated to 600lbs. We store out extra outdoor shoes and supplies in the bench. Also a good hiding place for grocery bags. Grab and go! Fairly easy to put together and the finish was fine. Not exactly furniture grade but it matches our decor.

Installation screws were sprinkled loose amongst the unassembled parts. 7 of the 9 screws needed were recovered. The 2 missing were not found. I had plenty of spare parts from old projects and found 2 that fit but did not match in color. Other bolts were loose, as their packaging broke open. There were 2 allen wrenches loose among the trash broken styrofoam packaging. I’ve never encountered any item needing assembly that hardware was so poorly packed.

Requires quite a bit of assembly and order of assembly in directions makes it more difficult than it needs to be. Stain is very unevenly applied and wood could be smoother for cost of bench. Also has silver plaque with company name (different than listed) attached to back rest. Probably would not have purchased if knew all this.

A very nice bench. Easy assembly with good-quality hardware. Picture is accurate in terms of look. The only question is how well it will hold up in outdoor weather.

Beautiful and good quality! This storage bench fits perfectly on my screened in porch! Also easy to assemble.

The bench is sturdier than I expected. It's solidly built. Assembly was a 2 person job but was relatively easy. The only difficulty was the hinge pre-drilled holes did not line up with the hinges, therefore, when the seat is lifted to access the storage, it scrapes the inside of the arm. If we re-drilled, the holes would be too big and wouldn't hold the screw, so I might just sand the side of the seat and re-finish it.

Attractive benches. Easy to assemble, but I would suggest doing step 3 & most of 4 before doing step 1. That made it much easier. The finish feels a little rough, but it looks nice.

It's my favorite outdoor funiture! The storage space in the bench is great for keeping pillows and outdoor gear dry during rainy days.

Product delivered and was as advertised. The assembly manual was minimal at best with only three drawings provided to instruct customer as to assembly. The need for a Phillips screwdriver was not listed as a needed tool. Half of the small screw pre-drilled holes were not aligned properly and a drill was needed to complete assembly.
