I reviewed numerous patio sets looking for one where there was no possible issue with rust and the seating capacity was more than 250 lbs, ideally over 300 lbs. I wanted a rattan look but did not want anything with woven bands that would eventually break or crack. We just updated our deck with the Alderman collection as it meets all of those criteria. Assembly is straight forward - it can be done alone but a 2nd set of hands speeds things along - especially on the loveseat and sofa. You do need to be able to read diagrams as there is no wording. Helpful tip - since the sofa is out of stock - I ordered two loveseats and assembled those into a sofa and a chair. The pieces are sturdy - they are dark brown resin that looks like woven rattan - even has gaps like you would find in a real wicker piece. The set is lightweight but substantial. The cushions are true to online color; they are also firm and keep their shape. I placed shelf liner under them to keep them from sliding. We love the modern look and are looking forward to years of enjoyment. Just wish the set included an ottoman. Found a similar style in another collection - on its way to our deck.
