It’s smaller than I expected and it’s thin material. It’d probably cost me too much to return so I’ll keep it for the baby chicks. I was able to put it together by myself.

This is perfect for my baby chicks and ducks.

It has served its purpose in keeping our little flocks of babies safe during the night and helped shelters some of our other hens. We love this coop.

It is not as big as it looks. My 10 week old chickens barely fit in the bottom.

Cute coop! I put it together by myself (on my front porch!) it tolerated a nice snowfall. Waiting to place it in the yard, as I’m waiting on warmer temps to get my first set of quail chicks. Like the color and size. Certainly would get easierfaster installation with a helper! Do recommend this coop.

This chicken coop was easy to assemble, and arrived in a 75 lb. shipping box. The wood used to make this coop is really soft and chips or cracks easily if not careful over-torquing. I'm not convinced that it is "solid wood" as described. The QA could be better. For example, there was a handmark smear on the pull-out tray (see picture). And the roof cap was partially disassembled during shipping, but I was able to use wood glue to secure it back together. This coop took me exactly 1 hour to assemble using a power drill. About 10 minutes just removing the pieces out of the boxes and another 10 minutes disassembling the box and content for recycling. The parts are inconsistently labeled, with many pieces missing part designation label altogether. It's easy to figure out which part is which though, using the illustrated assembly guide. This coop is the perfect size for the backyard hen keeper. Because of its built-in dual partitioned nesting box (partition wall is removable), I recommend keeping only two hens, with a maximum of three. The run on the first floor is small, but functional. We have a large yard so our chickens are free range from 6:30 AM until sunset. The coop is used to house three egg laying black Australorp hens. The 3rd hen will have to use the living space / pull-out tray as her nesting ground. I think this coop is pretty well thought out, for what it's worth. The roosting area features a slide out tray which allows for easy clean-up. If you have a washable 21"x21"x1" square plastic tray (look into OUT! PetCare Dog Pad Holder Tray), clean-up will be an absolute cinch. The roof covering the nesting box has a metal lockable slip-key latch to keep out predators. There are three lockable doors; two on the run and one on the side of the living space. The entrance to the coop through the ramp has a slidable door that you can close up when it's time for some shut eyes (be sure to install this in the correct orientation to avoid taking it apart later, like I did!). We placed the coop over a shaded small grassy patch area adjacent to our garage. Transporting the coop is easy with the built-in handle and casters. The paint is definitely on the thin and low quality side, so I'll definitely repaint it with weatherproof paint down the line. The asphalt-style roof is just a bunch of tiny rubber fragments glued onto the roof. It flakes off easily and a substantial amount will fall out of the shipping box as you remove the pieces for assembly.

A lot smaller than what I expected but it is super cute and fits both my chickens. I have an extended run off of it so they have space when they aren’t free ranging!

2person assembly, easy. Very cute. Probably won’t put 4 chickens in it, too small for that many.

This coop is just what we needed for the transition from raising newborn chicks inside to establishing their viability outside. They are enjoying the freedom it provides, and it saves us from having to endure heat lamps inside our home. It is well-made and attractive. They will be moving to our large chicken house and run soon, so that our newest chicks can "move in" and adjust to the outside world without worrying about bullying by adult hens. All in all, I consider this a good purchase and would recommend it to anyone raising chicks. It would also be good for a few full grown birds.
