This is especially important if the rug is placed in a sunlit area. Handle loose yarns: It can be common for stray or loose yarn to pop up on your rug over time. Do not pull it; simply trim the longer yarn with scissors until it's even with the rug pile. Clean spills immediately: Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry white cloth or towel; do not rub. For spot cleaning, use a dye-free, gentle detergent solution mixed with cold water. Rinse and blot quickly to dry with a clean towel.
