I love this door mat! It's functional and beautiful!! Looks even nicer than I expected! The mat is 3 dimensional because it has raised (approximately 1/8") fieldstone looking areas. The raised "stones" each have a rough, abrasive, textured surface that helps to remove dirt and more off the bottom of your shoes. I have always had a rectangular mat, but I strayed from my norm, and tried this semicircle (half circle rounded shape) door mat! And I'm glad I did!! The rounded shape is much nicer, and softer and it smooths out the flow going in, or out of the door. I never realized how the corners of my rectangular mats were, and how they made my small porch appear divided into several rectangular sections. This rounded mat softens the porch, and creates a nice welcoming atmosphere. If I had 2 doors, I'd have one of these for each door!! I definitely recommend this mat.
