It is definitely enough cushion on my feet. I bought one a couple years ago and Judy bought another Just like it. I love them!

We are using this pad under a 10x14 area rug in the living room. We had to trim a few inches from the long side so it would sit nicely under the edge of the rug. That was a simple task. The 14 inch pad made a huge difference in the way the rug feels under foot and the overall smoothness of how the rug lays on the floor. Very pleased with this pad.

Do not buy. They send used rug pads not in packaging to try to pass as new.
