This item is beautiful but did function as discribed. The lid only opened 3/4 of the way. Wayfair wanted me to keep it for 1/2 price, but I opted to send it back. Now I have to drag it back to my garage and load it in a box, BORROW a car to take it to a FedEx facility. That is total garbage. I am a senior and this is not going to be an easy task. Because it does not open, Wayfair should be sending someone to my home to box it up and carry it away. Let not forget that Fedex dropped it at the bottom of my driveway that is up hill. Again, I needed help from a neighbor to get it into the house. Wayfair STINKS

The trunk is very well made. There is more variation in color than I was expecting. The variation is due to rattan being a natural material. Also, it really didn’t work in the space I purchased it for, but I would never be able to get it back into its original packaging state and it cannot be returned unless you do it that way. (Packaging was excellent. No damage at all to the trunk). This is one of the drawbacks to buying online.

Great trunk!!! It arrived quickly and was packaged very well. It's perfect in our smaller living room as a coffee table 'style' trunk. The lid doesn't slam down, which is great because we have kids. Don't want any smashed fingers!! I'd recommend this trunk!

It is a nice looking, sturdy trunk. The hinges seem a good quality, which is good because the trunk will be storing daily use sweatshirts and hoodies. We are pleased with this purchase.
