Great deck box! I was looking for something more durable than all the plastic/resin options out there, but wanted something less expensive and easier to maintain than wood. It arrived well packaged and was fairly easy for me to assemble by myself. I saw one reviewer say the directions were all in German, but that’s not true. They are in about 15 different languages with English being one of them. I appreciate the locking feature to keep uninvited guests out of the box. The only thing that could be improved is if it had wheels, but those should be easy enough to add. A couple pieces did arrive with some finish marring, but I reached out to Biohort US and they promptly sent replacement parts.

Hard to put together, especially if you have short arms. Very large and sturdy once you put it together.

Amazing quality deck box. This is a really high end piece of storage furniture. We recently upgraded our backyard and wanted something that complemented our patio and to hide all of our kids toys. It’s really big. I can fit my kid’s tricycle and bikes in it with plenty of room to spare for all of our hot tub and pool gear. It’s very secure. The locking mechanism is smooth and strong. It comes with a set of two keys. The lid has two gas springs that make it easy to open and close. Install time was about 1.5 hours. Make sure you install it on something soft to not scratch the paint. We used the box it came in to set it on. You can do most of the install with one person, but when you put the lid on it you will need someone to help. It’s also a bit heavy. Once I figured out the nut and washer fit inside the screw driver they give you, that sped up the assembly.

I did my homework researching deck boxes and decided a steel box would outlive all the resin, plastic, and fiber products. This box is a beast! It is beautifully made, VERY sturdy, vented but still rainproof, with an easy to open/close latching lid. The assembly instructions are in German, but the diagrams are easy to understand. It helps to have two people when attaching the lid. It arrived well-packed and protected on its own pallet. I highly recommend this deck box and would feel at ease buying any Biohort product.

This deck box is the perfect size in shape for my back yard. It is sturdy enough to sit on and big enough to hold all of my outdoor cushions.
