The barrel takes care of the gutter overflow. Good construction & the metal spout is very positive (not plastic). The barrel is near my flower garden, great for watering.

This rain barrel has a great design. A few things I liked right from the start. 1. The shape. Most barrels are round and don't fit nicely up against a wall. Where This barrel is square. It allows you to tuck it up close to where you are storing it for use. 2. The strainer top. This keeps out debris which is a huge saver to making sure your faucet won't be clogged when using. 3. The base. It comes with a base that lifts the barrel off the ground so you can fit a watering can under it for easy filling. Simple but genius. Other barrels you have to build a platform for it to have the same effect. I have very happy with this purchase and recommend this product.

The Lakewood Rain Barrel and Stand is well made and was super easy to assemble. The instructions were very simple and clear and it even came with Teflon tape. Minimal tools are required, a wrench for tightening and a screw driver is all that is needed. It is going to be great for watering our garden this summer. The screen on the top will keep out debris. It fits right along the house and the stand makes it easy to fill a watering can. Sleek design and excellent value for the money.
