We love our pergolas! Very easy to put together. It was a cheaper way to cover our back patio for the time being! We just bought our house back in September and wanted to give our patio a cozy feel for the summer nights coming up soon! It also helps with the rain hitting our basement doors! I did spray each canopy, top and bottom, with a waterproof sealant for extra protection before attaching them onto the pergolas! We have had some heavy rain storms and they have held up very well! The only thing is that I have to go out and hit the water out of the canopy after a rain storm so that it’s not just sitting on there. It only catches on the 3rd row up right above the row with the drain holes. Other than that small thing, we couldn’t be happier with our pergolas! We have had so many compliments! The awning is great so far. We have 12*10 size. We added this on our deck on vinyl sliding.. needed to find the stud and used ledger-lock instead of given screws ( as those can only be used in brick).. looks pretty solid, will have to see how it holds in wind.. This is a good gazebo - not as heavy as I had hoped for, but so far it has stood up to the winds that plague my backyard. Mine sits on flagstone, so I have it anchored with weights for security. It took 3 of us to put it up (mostly for getting the canopy on) but it wasn't complicated. I believe others have said that it took about 2 hours and that was the case for us as well. We’ve had several gazebos in the past. This one is the best that we’ve purchased for this price. It was very easy to put together. My husband didn’t need any help. He did it in about an hour. The canopy is made so that the water does not settle on top which was an issue with our past gazebos, and it fits snug. The only one negative is that the net ties are at the bottom instead of the usual center. My husband was able to slide the ties through the pole holes when it’s closed since we didn’t bolt them down. Great gazebo for the price. Definitely secure it with some sand bags. I used 320lbs total. The look is still a work in progress. It has been raining for the past three days, and the existing drain holes do let water in, but not to tbe extent to prevent usage. The wind has been minimal however.
