Sweet little canopy bed! Our daughter, who's 3 ½ years old, absolutely loves it! It's made of a sturdy metal frame. It came nicely packaged in one long box. The frame took my husband and I almost 1 ½ hrs to put together. Having two people to assemble definitely helps with this one. Pretty easy though... just follow the letter stickers and holes on each metal piece to make sure it corresponds with the piece on the instructions! I bought a 10 inch mattress to go with this and I think it's fine for my daughter. I would go lower if you feel like your little one might bump their head on the upper side railings while possibly standing.. or shall I say jumping?! Super cute and really good quality! Overall this bed is great, but there were a few things that surprised me. The color is much lighter pink than what’s in the picture. I expected it to be more of a dark blush, but instead it was a really light pink. Also, I know it says it’s a platform bed but I didn’t realize how low the bed actually is. The feet to the bed are only a few inches and there is no boxspring so it’s pretty low to the ground. It’s ok because this bed is for my 3 year old, but I don’t know if I would love that if I were using this bed for an adult or older child. Lastly, I wish the headboard were slightly taller personally. If I stood the pillows straight up, you wouldn’t see the beautiful headboard at all.
