Classic craftsman series posts are not prone to the same environmental damage as real wood, such as splitting or cracking. Their E-Z lock joints will not separate due to disproportionate changes in panel dimensions. When 2 coats of acrylic latex paint are applied, Classic craftsman series posts will deliver years of service as promised against rot, corrosion, and moisture damage.

The mitre joints were not perfect so it was difficult to assemble. It didn’t come with instructions, so I almost put the Top molding on the bottom and vice versa, not realizing they were different widths which would have looked terrible. I used glue rather than screws, which was a mistake. Again, good instructions would have prevented both of these. This was a DIY project, so it is on me. , if I paid for the work to be done professionally it wouldn’t be acceptable. Part of that is me, plenty of it is on the product and manufacturer.. William. Product supplied was very good. The only negative was that the website was not clear on quantity included for an order of one. I needed two pilasters, one for either side of the door. So I ordered 2.
