Satisfied customer! Item came packaged well. You build this item yourself. Screws are included, you just need a Phillips screwdriver. Very simple to assemble, done by one person. Very sturdy and seems like it will last a lifetime. I love that the can has a removable tray at the bottom for easy cleaning. Exactly what I needed for my home. I don’t have space for a recycled and regular trash. I am able to place 2 regular size kitchen trash bags, inside for recycled and trash! Just got it today and came up with this idea and love it! I took a knife and made a notch on each side to secure the bags. Took 10 seconds since this plastic trash can cuts very easily. Also I am able to keep the original design for when we have guests over. HUGE PLUS- I am able to continue to buy kitchen trash bags to fit this purpose. Love this taupe color as well very neutral. Tip I put this together without reading the instructions and left the base for last- which is wrong - base needs to be put together at same time as putting up sides. Enjoy! I was torn between 3 and 4 stars and I'm in a good mood. Lol. I needed this for years. I had no place for my trash and recycling cans except my patio. I wanted something that would cover and hide them and keep them from blowing away. Also, I kept having issues with raccoons getting into my cans because those burgers know how to take off a lid! After looking at a bunch, I chose this one. I've had it for two years now and just getting around to the review. I put it together by myself. I don't recommend this if possible ;) But it was doable and I'm capable. Looks great. One of the best practical home purchases I've made. Now for my concerns/issues ... when the trash cans are not full inside, if there is a strong wind, this thing slides. So far, on three or four occasions, this baby has moved several yards after a storm. Last spring, it tipped right over and landed in my backyard and that time it was actually completely full. Not a lot you can do about that unless you bolt it to the wall of the house and that isn't happening. Just making sure you know, in itself, it's not very heavy. The reason it loses a star for me is the lid. Since day one, the lid never sat completely flat and flush on top of the unit. It's almost bowed so that its higher on the sides. It's on correctly, it just doesnt lay flat. The center locking mechanism keeps the center down but there's nothing to push down the sides. And the metal 'hinge' sometimes sticks. Over the last two years, this has worsened more. So there is a gap of about 3-4 inches on both sides. Among other things, this allows smell to escape (I have 5 cats, so that's a lot of litterbox goodies), and water can seep inside, as could small animals. But let's be honest, once I put it together there was no way I was taking it apart and sending it back! So, it's a fair piece and I don't know if that was a defect with mine or all of them. I love this chest. I got it because I needed a blanket chest right away but can't afford a large enough all wood one right now. I decided to go ahead and get this one to use indoors now and then put it on my deck later. I may never put it on the deck, though. I like the way it looks, and it is just the right size to suit my needs. It fits perfectly at the foot of my double bed and holds two large comforters and two sets of plush sheets with room to spare. (Incidentally, the electric fireplace, the teal comforter, the rust comforter and the 2 sets of plush sheets you see in these pics are also from Wayfair! :) I was a little worried that the chest would smell like plastic, but it has no odor at all. It was extremely easy to put together. I did use a rubber mallet to tap the connections, but that's not really necessary. It just snaps together. It took me less than 15 minutes to assemble this piece. It is very sturdy, and I'm sure two average sized adults can sit on it with no problem. It is a little tall for me (5'6") to sit on comfortably for an extended period of time, but it's fine as a bench for sitting for a few minutes for changing shoes or whatnot. For storage indoors or outdoors, this is a great buy. It might be a little dangerous as storage for kids' toys because it is so tall. A child trying to reach a toy on the bottom could easily fall in. Good storage, watertight even in the face of a rainy nor'easter. Used Lowe's cement blocks 15.7" with the number 2 step sand used for paver installation. Made for a solid foundation. One issue is because the unit opens from the top and front which is great, there is not enough support to keep the side walls square at the front so you need to push them together about an inch when closing.
