It’s definitely not like the other crib mattress with a vinyl cover this is a soft cover with no smell to it and safer for your baby free of chemicals. Unlike a vinyl cover this is breathable and won’t be hot in the summer for your baby. I’m impressed with the zip off cover that you can takeoff and wash to keep it fresh.I’d like the fact that this cover soft. One side of the mattress is perfect for the baby crib it is firmer. The other side is softer for use in a toddler bed. This is well worth the money spent. When purchasing a baby mattress ask yourself would you like to sleep on some hard vinyl I think not. I really like this mattress! Perfect size for our new crib we also got on Wayfair. It arrived rolled up. I let it expand in the crib through an extended weekend. The infant side is hard enough for safety, but still is soft to touch. There is a tag on the side so you know which side is the infant or toddler. Overall, this is a quality mattress.
