The handrail is made from 2" deep x 1" high radiused aluminum extrusion tubing to allow for easy day-to-day use. When mounted to the wall, the railing projects out approximately 3 5/8 inches from the wall to the front of the railing. This railing has a high weight limit that meets the load requirement of 200 lbs or more. The distance from the wall to the back of the railing, when installed, is over 1.5". The railing returns to the wall on both ends of the railing. The handrail brackets are designed to be mounted directly into wall studs. each bracket has 3 wall mounting holes apiece to hold your handrail sturdily in place. The handrail brackets are made from 1/8 inch flat stock steel and 3/16 inch steel solid plate. Dimensions of the mounted handrail bracket are 1.5" W x 3.5" H x 3" D when installed onto the wall. This railing comes with pre-installed matching plastic end caps to protect your walls during installation and use of the rail. Looks great and feels like quality. Also great price. I saw other identical versions that were all twice or 3x the price. My contractor used heavy duty anchors to ensure they were secured against the wall as the studs weren't spaced so that the 3 brackets could evenly be installed as shown in pictures.
