This is a great Gazebo. We’ve had it up about a month now, several storms have come through, rain, and even one with light hail. It’s held up great. We anchored it to the concrete so it will not fly away, and we keep the flaps tied down when not in use. Ohio weather can get windy, and it has been fine. I have used the solid side walls much more than I thought I would, they are great to block the sun, or stop wind coming in from one side. AND for privacy (we’re on a corner lot). So it got the gazebo as part of a project to redo my deck. I love it but a few things to be mindful of 1. The frame isn’t firm steel so ensure to bolt it down in addition to adding weights. (The wind took mine even with weights and I had to recover it from my neighbors yard. So I had to rebuild it and do some repairs, luckily I am on the handy side). 2. The pictures in the instructions are mediocre at best, but you can do it!! Don’t be discouraged! 3. Pay attention to which poles get the longer bolts. 4. If you are building alone you may want to change the way you build versus the way the instructions indicate. Constructing certain sides first and using a ladder and some furniture to hold the sides can be helpful and can provide needed support, one piece at a time. It is a difficult task so if you have another person to help get them!! Instructions say you need 3 bodies. I built it alone. 5. For the curtains align the small strings to the post first to help with the installation. The shorter curtain goes with the middle post. The long ones go on the end poles, but the middle of the curtain (the tiny strings) is aligned with the post. (Makes no sense now but will when you get there). 6. When adding the fabric roofing, do the top first. (You’ll thank me later!) All in all, it is beautiful but could be steadier, I adding weights and bolting it are your best options for longevity.
