You saved me on this one...the fan I ordered would not meet my slope requirements...this adapter worked out great...keep in mind that if your ceiling fan has a remote control transmitter that needs to be in the canopy it took some finesse to fit it in under the down pole ball bracket but I was able to make it happen..
