You'll place next row inches away, to keep grooves away from each other, then use a soft touch with hammer or mallet to click them together tight. This flooring is "WetProtect" and can be put in an entryway, a laundry room, or bathroom. If you've never done flooring before, like many or most of us, pick a space where you won't have to worry about cutting curves around pipes or having gaps where you cannot make it fit tight and right because there is no room for your hands/arms to work a tool. All in all, this experience was not what I'd call fun, but challenging fun. Not relaxing like a puzzle might be, but very gratifying.
