Just received. Haven't used but feel like great quality. Heavy and strong materials. Handy measuring lines on sauce pan and pots, may wear off quickly w time but nice to start with. I absolutely love these! They are obviously well built and meant to last. They are heavy, but not to the point that it is annoying or impacts use. I almost didnt get these because of some of the more negative reviews I read, but I'm glad I didnt listen to that. These are fantastic. Like any of the different types of cookware, it's all about knowing how to cook with the type of material you are using or at least being willing to learn. I am used to cooking with nonstick products so I had to read up on how best to cook with stainless steel and I've had no issues. I would definitely recommend these!. Samantha. Loveeeee this set! They are beautiful! If you have trouble with it “losing” its shine (inside) or tarnished its not (look at my photos). You have to treat this set like you treat a cast iron skillet “season” the pans after use. After a good hand wash dry the pans with a soft cloth, then dab a few drops olive oil (or oil if your choice) wipe the inside of each pan (you are coating the oil in the pan) and wah lah they are perfect again! I was excited when we received the set. I have to admit it took some getting used to, cooking with these is a bit different than cooking with the nonstick pans we normally have. I would recommend seasoning the pans before using, it helps to avoid sticking. I started a new blog and needed a new pan set that did its job and would photograph well. And I didn't want to spend a fortune. I use these pots and pans on a daily basis and bought them just before Thanksgiving 2018. I wanted to wait before posting a review to really put them through their paces. This set is perfect for real everyday cooking. I used them to cook both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and every meal in between and since. I've even made fried rice that came out so much better in the large frying pan than it ever did in a very expensive nonstick Food Network pan I bought just last year. They will get discolored on the bottom over time from the heat of the stove top and that rainbow discoloration everyone seems so concerned about is a natural chemical reaction of the steel. It does not affect the safety or taste of the food. Both are very easily removed with Bar Keepers Friend cleanser. This is not nonstick cookware, you must preheat the pan and add nonstick spray, oil or butter to prevent food from sticking. I personally hate nonstick pans, they require so much care and the coating always flakes or peels after a few years. This cookware has exceeded all of my expectations. It cooks beautifully and I don't have to be careful when cleaning it. Be aware that the pans are safe up 500 degrees, but the lids are only safe up to 350 degrees because they are tempered glass. I chose the 14 Piece Stainless Steel (1810) Cookware Set because I needed to retire an old set of temporary pans. I really wanted All Clad, but the sticker price shock for a set is a bit much for most of us. But then I found these triply beauties by Tramontina. there was another set by Cuisinart and i was torn be which one to get. Now these stil dont compare to to the All Clad, but they came very close. Key difference is the thumb indent on the handle - critical when you use an oven glove and trying to pour, the smooth handle can slip and overturn while in your glove causeing a loss of control. the other thing is the glass lids, the tempered glass is only oven rated to 350 degrees, steel lids are oven rated to 500 degrees (although you cant see through steel lids). All that is totally fine for me because i have dedicated ovenware. For a fraction of the price, I feel incredibly comfortable with my purchase, and i want to recommend this set to anyone who is interested in purchasing a stainless steel fully clad cookware set.. We've had this set for about 2 months now and love it! I've never cooked with stainless steel before, but we needed to make the switch to use with our induction cooktop. They are nice and heavy duty, clean up easily, and I've never had a problem with things sticking as long as I preheat the pan and use nonstick spray, butter, or oil.
