I really like this roaster. It cooked a 14 lb ham perfectly at the same temp and time as the oven. The ham came out perfectly, and clean up was easy. The insert of the roaster is lightweight which really makes clean up easy. There were a couple of dings on the metal insert but Im not deducting stars because it worked so well.. Tina. I received this product as part of the Tried and True Program. The product is very well packed, and it arrived in perfect condition not a single scratch. It was able to keep the food warm, if you like to entertain like I do, then this product could use a few improvements. I normally have a separate buffet table set up with dishes guest self serve but this product the cable is very short so you have to use it on a countertop height close to the outlet, at a buffet table you will most likely need an extension cord plus considering they recommend to put it on a hard counter (i think they refer to granite or similar) to prevent a fire hazard, then you would want a hard stone to put under it , i guess you could work around these issues if you must but that's too much work. so you are stuck with using it on your countertop. When it comes to cleaning the unit, the lid seems to hold moisture on the lid handle (picture attached), it does have a screw so I would recommend you unscrew it and clean it well so you don't end up w/ mold or bacteria build up. It's no big deal, but you just have to clean it more thoroughly. To me this is not a product I would use daily, but I will definitely use it for holidays and when i have family/friends gatherings. .
