shiny and plastic. tried installing today but still haven't succeeded to eliminate a drip at supply. will purchase and try better quality flat rubber washer. new flat rubber washer solved drip. the provided holder will not support hand shower, droops to point of contact, won't stay in position. spray patterns are just fair. hope the "clean mode" is beneficial..
