I have many pans, of all makes, shapes and sizes. Some will last for several generations. But as we all know, nonstick pans are not that durable, so I've learned my lesson about spending a small fortune on high end nonstick cookware. Having said that, these two Tramontina skillets are excellent. They are truly nonstick, and yet they do something other nonstick pans can't do: brown salmon fillets ( and chops ). I couldn't believe the lovely bronze finish of my fish, something heretofore was only possible in either my cast iron skillet or my French blue steel pans. Absolutely amazing ! I was excited when we received the set. I have to admit it took some getting used to, cooking with these is a bit different than cooking with the nonstick pans we normally have. I would recommend seasoning the pans before using, it helps to avoid sticking.
