This is a beautiful crib and was not hard to put together. The directions were very easy to follow. It seems well made and looks as if it will be easy to transition to toddler bed when the time comes! The only downside is that there were quite a bit of dents, scratches, and chipped pains upon unboxing. We are hoping to find a way to fix these issues instead of having to return.. Ashley. A great alternative to the expensive 'hardware store' crib. My only complaint is that the mattress platform is deep black, even on the white crib. This can be covered with a crib skirt, of course, but the four metal diagonal posts that attach the mattress platform to the crib are *also* black, and even with a crib skirt and sheets on the mattress, these black posts are exposed and stick out like a sore thumb against the white.
