I bought this for my daughters birthday in May. She just used it this weekend. She was disappointed to find out that there was only one size blade for slicing Which is about a quarter inch thick. I havent ever bought a mandolin so didnt know what to look for. Since it is a mandolin I assumed it would have multiple slicing thickness. I didnt buy a cheap one or an expensive one, and I thought this one would do a lot of different things, but the main thing my daughter wanted was a slicer. With only one thickness for slicing, this mandolin will not do. I wont return it as I didnt know what to look for to buy. If you want slicing, make sure you are getting multiple slicing thickness. I wanted her to check and see if it was possible to order other size blades, I dont know the answer yet.

I didn't read the description closely enough. Wasn't aware that this mandoline was not adjustable. Looks well made and will probably work great. I gifted it to a friend that didn't have a mandoline.

I took a star off for the fact you can’t adjust the thickness of you cut but that’s all that I wish I would have read better. ***BEWARE***. This thing is SHARP! I’ve been shopping around for a mandoline for a few months and always was chucking to myself with pics of people and cut fingers.... well first use and I sure did cut the tip of my finger. For the price if your okay with one thickness I highly recommend it.

It's manual effort, and takes concentration.

It works really well, however you need to be very careful if you don't use the holder. I have cut myself several times

Not too sharp and too many parts

I do a lot of healthy cooking for my grown son. There is so much cutting, slicing, mincing, etc. involved with his meals that I needed to save some time and my fingers from the knives. This has been a wonderful help. Makes slicing and grating a breeze.

It is nice and sharp. Cut my finger first time I used it.

Pretty easy to use, but as with all grating type pf products, it's a pain to clean

I liked it for making zucchini spaghetti; just had too many mandolines.
